On Saturday, November 28, 2009, Imam Zaid Shakir delivered the Eid al-Adha sermon in Hayward to a congregation of about 120 believers. In his sermon, Imam Zaid examines some pertinent aspects of the relationship between Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) and the pilgrimage along with an explanation of the term, "Abraham was a nation..." which is found in the Quran.
