Promotion is everything (Photos)

It is challenging to establish a successful art career. It is necessary to network within the art community in order to achieve career success. An artist must actively promote his or her art. It is a creative professional’s responsibility to develop an audience and to expose his or her art to a large audience. This can be achieved through participating in art shows, such as the Arc Gallery’s Approaching 40 show.

The opening reception for the Approaching 40 art show, at ARC Gallery and Educational Foundation took place on April 6, 2013. It was a lively and entertaining event. Many artists and art enthusiasts attended, and a large range of art was exhibited, including painting, mix media, and sculpture.

The opening reception for the Approaching 40 show attracted a diverse audience, which provided an ideal environment for creative professionals to network among other creative professionals. This art show was also inspiring, as the featured artwork invoked a variety of emotions; some art was provocative, while other artwork engaged the imagination.

Qetesha Haynes is a local Chicago artist who has three sculptures in the show: πGuy (πGuy formula), Egg Creatures, and Penny.
