“No. You will not need a gold subscription to play Project Spark for free on any platform,” Lescault said.
Project Spark, dubbed the game maker video game, was unveiled during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June by Microsoft Studios.
The game allows for players to manipulate the world through Microsoft’s SmartGlass and Kinect. Users can also program how in-game objects behave and create different terrain –– rivers, prairies, mountains, and so forth.
A beta for the game will begin in October for PC gamers, and the Xbox One beta will drop in January.
