"We're really really close on beta," Community Manager Mike Lescault explained. "We're getting there. "We're hammering out the final stuff. It's not going to make October. You won't be getting an invite in October."
"The big thing is, we are close," Creative Director Henry Sterchi added. "People are working away really hard but we are a matter of weeks away. It could be very very quick but we are close."
Lescault said that there is no projected date for the release of the beta as things are being taken on a week to week basis to get the game making game ready for beta.
"We're not going to release it until we get it at the experience level we want," Lescault pointedly said.
Sterchi expanded on this by saying that while bugs are expected as part of a beta, there are certain bugs that have to be ironed out such as save integrity before Team Dakota is comfortable releasing it to a wider audience.
There was no word on if this would affect the planned January release of the Xbox One beta for Project Spark. An Xbox 36 beta is still not planned.
