The past two weeks of Project Runway Season 12 have been interesting to watch to say the least. Last week (episode 4) we saw Sandro Masmanidi eliminate himself when he walked out after a confrontation with several designers. He returned last night (episode 5) to give a brief apology to the group. However, the drama didn't end there.
Episode 5 had the designers in teams of three for the third unconventional challenge. The team that ended up on bottom was the unfortunate pairing of Ken, Sue and Alexandria. These designers were coming from three different points of view, and, the chemistry between them was disastrous. Normally each deliver quality items -- that wasn't the case in Episode 5 when each of the three designers (Ken, Sue and Alexandria) spent more time arguing than working.
Adding fuel to the fire was Tim Gunn's critique of the group's work, and, the normally composed and cool Gunn "lost it" and chewed out the team for using fabic from shower curtains in an unconventional challenge. And, Ken, the main instigator of the tension in this team was smirking the entire time (determined to show Sue and Alexandria that his way is the only "right" way.)
In the end it was Sue Waller that was sent home. Was the right person sent home? What's your opinion?
