On Thursday night’s episode the final seven designers were given the exciting HP and Intel Textile Challenge, where the designers get to design their own fabric, and for inspiration they were given seven different people who are considered innovators and various fields of creativity.
Dom took off with the challenge and created an original and sophisticated print, that she in turn used to create a beautiful, sexy, and innovative dress, which by the way got her the win for the challenge. Bradon’s print was also imaginative and the dress he designed was gorgeous. Helen, who always doubts herself, also managed to create a silhouette that was stunning with a mid-rift top and a long skirt that was flattering.
Then there were the bottom looks, Justin’s print was beautiful and the top he created was beautiful and should have design the entire dress with it, however, chose long skirt in a different material that destroyed the entire outfit. Alexander tried to imitate a cake pattern with a white cross down the front that instead gave the dress a religious tone that was outright nonsensical. Then Kate who didn’t seem to have a print at all, with a top that was unflattering and a collar that just was not cohesive, and a skirt that was unfinished with pieces of fabric pinned at the bottom. Alexandria’s design just saved her, however, her outfit appeared as though someone had ripped a piece of the top and pinned it at the bottom.
Heidi Klum announced that one or more designers could be out, and the first ousted was Alexander and Kate, who by the way was also eliminated in a previous season, was the second designer to be sent home. “Project Runway” runs on Thursday at 10 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
