This is the 11th season of the fashion design competition & co-host Tim Gunn said, “From this point forward it’s going to be anybody’s game.” Host Heidi Klume always says before each weekly challenge that within the fashion industry, “One day you’re in and the next day you’re out.” This is the 6th week & Benjamin was sent home after last night’s episode Feb. 28, 2013. Everyone was visibly shocked because Amanda should’ve gone home. She cried tears of embarrassment & relief. The judges voted her dress as one of the worst. Native American designer Patricia Michaels was saved by her teammates Layanna & Michelle who both received high scores from the judges.
According to the official website of “Project Runway” the 6th week episode is called ‘Senior Fling.’ The synopsis is right here - “Air Date: 2/28/2013. The designers must learn to respect their elders while still showing their aesthetic when they are tasked with designing fashionable, age-appropriate looks for senior citizens. Red carpet experts Joan Rivers and Melissa Rivers serve as guest judges.”
Heidi Klume keeps stressing ‘team work’ to the fashion design contestants. Michelle who has been complaining all season & there is no end coming from her constant whining. She was teamed with Patricia & Layanna this week. Michelle targets Patricia again with her jealousy & anger. She said, “I just hope I don’t work with Patricia”, “90% of her designs are crap.” Patricia said only this about Michelle, “I love Michelle’s sense of design.”
Michelle & Layanna received high scores & Patricia was saved by them with her low score. They did not however receive the highest numbers. Heidi told all three of them that they didn’t work as a team. Michelle & Layanna complained on camera about Patricia which didn’t look like they wanted to help her at all. Patricia was struggling & did say, “I should’ve listened to my teammates.” All three were moved to the 7th round of the fashion competition.
Joan Rivers was the guest judge this week & she didn’t disappoint with her straight forward comments. She was harsh on the worst designs, “You don’t have a F****** clue who you’re designing for”, “Who died?” & “Looks like you’re carrying the liberty bell underneath.”
Stanley won this week’s challenge. The judges called his pantsuit design - “Chic”, “Spot on”, “Loved it”, “Every-age look”, “Didn’t play it safe.” Stanley has immunity next week & cannot be voted off. Benjamin & Amanda were both at the bottom as a team. Benjamin was sent home. The judges called his design - “Trapped” “Strangled”, “Too tight”, “Lop-sided”, “Can’t wait for the party to be over.”
Native American designer Patricia Michaels has made it to the 7th round with new guest judges (High School kids), a new challenge & more fashion designs.
