In the episode debuting October 21, 2010, four design contestants showed their mini collections to the judges, Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia. The season finale of Project Runway will air on Thursday, October 28.
Mentor Tim Gunn visited each of the four contestants at home to see their collections and to offer advice.
The four designers, including Michael Costello, Mondo Guerra, Gretchen Jones and Andy South; were reunited in New York. Tim Gunn announced that they each had to add another design to their mini-collection to be shown to the judges.
The contestants were each critiqued very strongly. In the end, it was Michael Costello who was sent home. Andy's new design was the most appealing of his work, according to the judges' comments. Andy was criticized for his editing, particularly in his choice of showing the swimsuit instead of a stronger example of the work in his collection.
