Project Runway returned to TV this week and it was a little different then other seasons.
This year Project Runway is All Stars.

Thirteen previous contestants who were sent home early on their first seasons are back to take another chance at winning the grand prize package worth $500,000 and title of Project Runway winner.
They are also having to deal with 3 new judges, Isaac Mizrahi, Georgina Chapman, and also Angela Lindvall who is now the host, taking over for Heidi Klum. Marie Claire Editor in chief Joanna Coles is the mentor.
In their first challenge the contestants were given $100 to spend at a 99-cent store and to put together the best outfit they could from the items they bought.
Some did amazing, some, well they did not make the cut.
The top 3 were, Jerell Scott from season 5 with a scarve and placemat dress, Season 8 contestant Mondo Guerra who used trash bags and electrical tape and made it work
Season 4 contestant Rami Kashou impressed the judges with his laundry bag, and tinsel dress which helped him win the first competition.
In the bottom 3 were, Sweet P Vaughn from season 4, she used washcloths and it did not work at all, made no sense said the judges, and Season 6 Gordana who could not seem to get anything together with her toilet paper tragedy and was deemed unfocused by the judges.
The one being sent home though was Elisa who just could not even explain what she did with her swimsuit/cape outfit and it did not live up to what the judges hoped to see, though they did compliment it..
This season looks to be a good one as we get used to new judges, old designers and no Tim Gunn.
Plus, as always their will be drama and fights between the contestants, challenges that seem impossible to complete and major meltdowns, as the designers vie for their second and last chance to be the winner or Project Runway; All Stars.
You can catch Project Runway: All Stars on Lifetime Thursdays at 9/8c.
