"Project Runway" season 11 will be quite different in 2013 than it has been in previous seasons. TV Guide reported on Jan. 22, 2013, that Michael Kors will be replaced by Zac Posen. The "Project Runway" season 11 contestants will also be competing as teams. "Project Runway" begins their 11th season on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.
Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and mentor Tim Gunn are returning to the show this year. Michael Kors has been replaced by Zac Posen as a judge for season 11. Kors will return to serve as a guest judge for the finale. Lifetime said Michael Kors was unable to return as a regular judge for season 11 due to scheduling issues. Michael Kors will be returning as a full time judge in future seasons of "Project Runway."
The celebrity guest judges for "Project Runway" will include Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Joan Rivers, Melissa Rivers, Emmy Rossum, Kristin Davis, Jordana Brewster, Rachel Roy, Tracy Reese, Chris Benz and Christian Siriano.
Lifetime will air a "Road to the Runway" special right before the season 11 premiere to introduce the new designers. The special will air at 8 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2012. Check your local cable or satellite listings for channel and showtimes in Jacksonville, Fla.
