Project Precious Rescue fundraiser scheduled for this weekend

Project Precious Rescue is a small organization making a big splash in the rescue community. By pulling dogs and cats from local pounds and taking in others from bad home situations, they are the difference between life and death for many otherwise unfortunate animals.

A number of the pets recently acquired by Project Precious have had medical issues. From severe cases of mange to surgeries, no animal goes without all of the treatment it needs to thrive and be healthy.

Unfortunately, vet bills add up quickly. In order to continue helping animals in need, Project Precious is holding a fundraiser on Saturday, February 9. The event will take place at Bar-Q, located at 261 Main Street in Stamford. There will be drink specials, raffles and merchandise for sale. The evening will kick off at 9 p.m.

There is an event page on Facebook with further information. To find out more about Project Precious Rescue, their adoptable pets or ways you can help, please visit the website and/or the Facebook page.

Please note: with the unpredictable nature of the storm already in progress in the Northeast, an alternate date of February 16 has been secured. An announcement pertaining to postponement, if any, will be made by Project Precious Rescue on the morning of February 9th.
