Project Ethos hits Scottsdale with wild fusion of fashion, music, and art

Project Ethos made a memorable send-off for Scottsdale Fashion Week last Friday, throwing  the official weekend after party in one high-energy showcase.  Project Ethos, an innovation itself, brought together upcoming artists in the fashion, music, and art industry for one final fantasy at Axis Radius.

“We provide a platform for emerging designers, musicians and artists by cross-pollinating the three,” Jason Peskin, CEO of Project Ethos explains.  “Instead of going to huge markets like New York, we’re going to Scottsdale, Portland, San Diego and beyond, right to the doorstep of these emerging artists.”

The headliners included local designers Desiato Khan and Jennyvi Dizon Couture, shown right behind LA designers Romy and Mahdice Fazeli of Kymaro.com.

Khan, a Phoenix fashion-costume designer invited by the Project , explains what caught their eye:

I enjoy multimedia, and I love film and photos.  Through clothing, I want people to take something away from the movie set, or the art piece experience.  I preach what I sew; I believe in an escape from reality.

Local artists selected by Project Ethos included Tara Catalano and Eric Hendrix.  Catalano, whose artwork is also displayed at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, had her art hanging front and center at the venue entry of the Project.  The Phoenix artist had this to say about her rising star: “At first my goal was to do one art show, just once, but when I accomplished that I made new goals, new plans.  Now this is where I am, and I can’t wait for whatever comes next.”

Project Ethos, a fashion-art showcase based in Los Angeles, can be reached for more information on their upcoming venues and media links.  Catch up with Project Ethos at ProjectEthos.com.
