Nothing is more frustrating in life than trying to understand the Truth. And nothing is more true than the realization that the truth is all around us, and within us, but is greater than us, and will outlast us in mystery. People of Judaeo-Christian faith believe that the foundation of the truth search, and the foundation of any semblance of sanity during this search, is in recognition of Divine Revelation. And this Divine Truth is heavily sacramental, or iconic.

And then there are those who deny any Revealed Truth, championing life's meaning in power, pleasure and material gain.
Take, for instance, the Judaeo-Christian faith belief in God's Creation of man and woman, made in His image and likeness, and their procreative and marital responsibility to 'be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.' Likewise, take the Judaeo-Christian faith belief that Jesus Christ died for all men (and women) so that he would be their 'way, truth, and life...' This impressed the founding father's of our great nation so much that they wrote the Declaration of Independence, which expressed the 'inalienable rights' of all men (and women) 'endowed by their Creator.'

Thus the Sacrament of Marriage--solely between a man and a woman--and the Right to Life-- from conception to natural death--are icons of Revealed Truth understood by millions of Americans since our nation's inception.

Many a progressive claims to be of Judaeo-Christian upbringing! Many bear the spiritual mark of baptism. But most of them have disregarded the faith, in practice, and have become full fledged religious iconoclasts, or icon destroyers.

To make matters worse, these progressive icon-smashers have filled their own spiritual vacuum with idols. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, to name but two, are replacement saviors for the purged Jesus Christ. Women's reproductive rights and gay rights have replaced the smashed icons of the right to life and traditional marriage.
Yet the greatest blasphemy of all has been the smashing of the opened armed Savior on His Cross, replaced with the naked public square, void of faith in Revelation, filled only with the cackles of politicians and pop diva's. Mostly lip-synching and tele-prompting empty words to a despairing audience.
