Looking for something fun to do while enjoying a couple of days in the sunshine? The City of Acworth is proud to present the return of the Pro Wakeboard Tour beginning this Thursday, May 20th and going through Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Dallas Landing in downtown Acworth. Some of the top riders competing in Acworth include the defending Pro Tour titlist and 2009 Rookie of the Year, Harley Clifford; four-time X Games gold medalist, Danny Harf; and the only rider ever to land a 1080 in a contest, Rusty Malinoski.
Festivities and fun begin at 9am on both Thursday and Friday and going through 4pm; on Saturday the main event begins at Noon and goes through 8pm. This 3-day water-sports event is a great way to spend the day with the family, enjoy great food and music, while also having the opportunity for autographs from the many professional athletes in attendance.
Parking will be available on both Thursday and Friday, limited parking on Saturday with shuttle service running from Downtown Acworth heading out to Dallas Landing. Discounted tickets are available online for a limited time, prior to the event or they are available to be purchased on the days of the event. Daily admission will run you $10 for all those 12 and above, $5 for children 6-11 and children 5 and under are FREE.
After all the fun and excitement of the day, hang out with all of the professional wakeboarders while getting their autographs, listening to live music, watching wakeboarding highlight videos, food, fun and much, much more at the BLOCK PARTY in Downtown Acworth from 8pm-11pm on Saturday.
