Hit the road, Jane. On Thursday, November 7th, the Mark Twain Library in Redding, Connecticut will be holding a workshop entitled “Career Issues For Stay at Home Mothers…More Then Meets the Eye.” At 7:30 PM, Dr. Hilary Berger will be sharing with mother’s unique methods to rediscover themselves both professionally and personally through a Career Development Model, composed specifically for mothers. The model aims to aid mothers in helping mothers develop confidence, pinpoint their career objectives, and assist them in assembling resumes and outlining the steps necessary to conducting a successful job search.
Dr. Berger has been a licensed professional counselor for 20+ years. Having earned her doctorate from Columbia University’s Teachers College, she has used her practical experience as a stay at home mother to four children to develop and implement various strategies that educated mothers can use to help raise their families. She is the founder and director of "Work Like a Mother", a resource which provides services in individual counseling, career coaching, comprehensive career testing, customized groups, organizational seminars, peer collaboration groups, webinars for seminars and classes, and career counseling for high school seniors, college students, and college graduates. Berger serves women nationwide, with offices throughout Fairfield County.
Admission for this event is free, and refreshments will be served. You may register online here, or through the library by calling 203-938-2545.
