It was only a matter of time before someone would say something about Farrah Abraham’s decision to wax her daughter’s eyebrows at the age of three. According to a new Gather article released on Jan. 8, “Teen Mom” star Farrah Abraham is being heavily criticized by professionals because of Sophia’s age. The scary thing about all of this is how Farrah is behaving in terms of being proud of her actions. She called herself a “good mommy” for waxing and plucking her daughter’s eyebrows because she was not pleased with the way they were looking.
Now, a pediatrician is speaking out against Farrah, calling her actions completely inappropriate. “There are probably not any significant health risks to plucking, however, it is not appropriate to be plucking a 3 year old's eyebrows," pediatrician Dr. Rabinowitz revealed to RumorFix. "Waxing probably is more risky as there could be an allergic response or actual skin damage." No word on how Sophia handled the hot wax, but one could imagine it was less than pleasant for her to get hot wax on her eyebrows and then having the sticky tape ripped off, if “Teen Mom” star Farrah Abraham indeed got that far in her procedure.
In addition, as the Gather report points out, Sophia could be at an emotional risk because her mother is waxing and plucking her eyebrows at such an early age, hence teaching her to fix things about her look and her beauty. What do you think of “Teen Mom” star Farrah Abraham’s decision to proudly brag about her actions with Sophia?
