Producers of the 2010 Emmys must want to be sure there won't be a dry eye in the house during their annual "In Memoriam" tribute.

Jewel's sweet and sad voice can make one emotional on its own, but she'll up the ante by singing a previously unreleased song that she wrote about a friend of hers that died. Called "The Shape of You," Jewel will perform an acoustic version, and the full version will be released on iTunes the same night.

The In Memoriam tribute honors stars that have passed away during the last year -- last year's tribute included celebrities such as Farrah Fawcett, Patrick Swayze and Michael Jackson, accompanied by the haunting voice of Sarah McLauchlan singing "I Will Remember You."

Some expected honorees for 2010 include Rue McClanahan, Dennis Hopper, John Forsythe and Gary Coleman.

The 2010 Emmy Awards will air live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre August 29 at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST on NBC.
