Producer of 'Batman v. Superman's' Michael Uslan reveals the age of Bruce Wayne

According to Comic Book Movie on Sunday, "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice's" producer Michael Uslan, who had also been an executive producer since the days of Tim Burton's "Batman" films all the way through Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy, revealed recently Bruce Wayne's age bracket. Burton was being interviewed when taking a look back on the character throughout the years and had addressed the outcry from fans and audiences which revealed their objectives to certain actors playing specific characters.

Uslan addressed the out-of-the-box thinking on the part of a director. Firstly, the "Batman v. Superman' producer noted that Robert Downey, Jr. had his initial reaction from fans in 2008, then of when Heath Ledger was casted as The Joker in "The Dark Knight", there was indeed a considerable reaction, and then finally the opposition that uproared when Ben Affleck was cast as the new Batman character. Apparently, the "Daredevil" movie flop still followed Affleck to this very day.

"We've been through this I don’t know how many times already. Every time a director makes a creative, out-of-the-box-thinking decision on casting, it tends to get this. I remember even the ‘Iron Man’ (2008) guys got it on Robert Downey Jr. initially. Of course, we got it intensely when another genius, Chris Nolan, chose Heath Ledger to play the Joker (in 2008’s ‘The Dark Knight’). And it was a huge outcry: ‘How can a guy who just played a gay cowboy (in 2005’s ‘Brokeback Mountain’) play the Joker? You’re going to destroy the greatest villain ever, this is going to be a laugh.’ “So, this has happened time and again, and it happened with Affleck. To go back to the original thought of Bruce Wayne in his mid-40s, I think he’s going to be extraordinary."

That being said, it seems people do now have an idea of the Zack Snyder's Batman's age. The rumors of Bruce Wayne being in his 50s had been more prominent, but considering Ulsan's comparison in the aforementioned quote, this seemingly gives an idea to fans his age. Also fans had been rather doubtful he would be represented as being in his 50s anyhow and recently there had been Detroit video clips being posted on YouTube where one can see the greying temples of the Dark Knight that had been rather telling of his age.

Most of the said filming had been Affleck running through mock wreckage that could have been representative of the aftermath of Superman's battle with General Zod from the original "Man of Steel" film and Wayne Enterprises likely to even have taken a hit being how there was a prop "Wayne Financial" building sign found within the wreckage.

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens in theaters come March 25, 2016.
