Producer Mark Canton to adapt "The Sadhu"

According to a Deadline Hollywood exclusive that was published yesterday, producer Mark Canton is following his graphic novel adaptation "300: Rise Of An Empire" with another graphic novel adaptation. This time, he will be working with Graphic India, a content creation company, to adapt their superhero The Sadhu.

The story revolves around James Jenson, a British soldier during the glory days of the British Empire. His family is murdered in the Indian colony of Bengal where Jenson later takes up refuge with a mysterious group of Indian mystics known as the sadhus. Eventually, Jenson picks up their powers and becomes a superhero.

Mark Canton added that, “In the same way Greek myths have captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, the screenplay by Gotham Chopra and Sharad Devarajan for Warrior taps into the mystical traditions and mythologies of India through an accessible action-packed adventure that I am confident will make a spectacular blockbuster film and will mark the birth of a new franchise.”
