Pro Wrestling Awards for 2012: Top heel, Top baby face, Top Feud and more

2012 has come to an end but there were many memorable, and not so memorable, moments in pro-wrestling this year. The following is a list of "awards" chosen by yours truly, with the assistance of feedback from you awesome readers.

Diva of the Year

In my opinion there really was no question here as to the 2012 Diva of the Year. WWE's AJ Lee was a major character in many top storylines throughout the entire year. I give Brooke Tessmacher the runner up, for her solid in-ring improvement.

Tag-Team of the Year

WWE definitely recommitted to their tag-team division and it has helped their on-air product immensely. However, my vote for the top tag-team goes to TNA's Kaz and Christopher Daniels. These two men have been highly entertaining on the mic and great in the ring. Runner up - Kane and Daniel Bryan followed closely by Samoa Joe and Magnus.

Top Faction/Group of the Year

Several groups have popped up this year. But the one that seemed to have the biggest impact was Aces and Eights. They have been in the top storylines, feuds and brought en element of excitement to TNA. Runner up - The Shield.

Breakout Star of the Year

I think there is really only one clear cut choice here. Ryback has definitely risen from obscurity to become the next face of the company. He's been given a huge push and the WWE Universe has embraced him as the next star. Runner Up - AJ Lee

Heel of the Year

There have been some great heel performances this year, Jericho and Lesnar for the WWE and Roode, Bully Ray and Aries for TNA. However, the award has to go to CM Punk. He has been the champion for the entire year and has practically carried the WWE when Lesnar and The Rock have been absent. Runner up -Robert Roode.
