Pro Tour 'Gatecrash' deck tech: 'Reckoner Control' with Gerry Thompson

Today Feb. 16, 2013 during day two of "Magic: The Gathering" Pro Tour "Gatecrash" Gerry Thompson made his first top eight Pro Tour finish with "Reckoner Control." Brian David-Marshall spoke with Thompson about his deck during the live coverage of the event.

Unlike the "Lucky Charms" deck piloted by David Sharfman, Thompson's list doesn't try to gain infinite life with Boros Reckoner. Instead, the deck mills itself with Thought Scour and can win over the long term with a massive Harvest Pyre.

The deck is packed with value creatures like Augur of Bolas and Snapcaster Mage which can be abused again with Restoration Angel. Mizzium Mortars can provide a mid-game blow out, and Sphinx's Revelation needs no introduction.
