A private flotilla, encouraged by Turkey’s government, has started disembarking from Turkey on its way to Gaza. The purpose is to break Israel’s partial blockade of Gaza. The Israeli government’s likely response is not clear.
Using social networks, Israeli individuals have devised a plan to sail their own ships into international waters in front of Gaza, to confront the flotilla. The purpose is to get Israel’s point of view heard.
The Israelis would lay on Hamas the responsibility for restrictions on Imports, because it kidnapped an Israeli soldier. The Israelis would explain that Turkey
Is doing this to gain popularity from the Arabs at Israel’s expense (Arutz-7, 5/17/10).
Neither Turkey nor the Arabs would mind the latter argument. Nor is it the main Turkish reason. Turkey’s government has become Islamist. That is the real reason.
Neither is the Israel’s explanation for the partial blockade the main one. The main one is that Hamas is at war with Israel. A partial blockade is meant to crimp it and especially to block materials that otherwise Hamas uses for war. It is true that responsibility for the blockade is Hamas’. Make peace, end blockade.
The flotillas usually carry humanitarian goods. That is cover for pro-terrorist effort. Actually, Israel lets in humanitarian goods. But the flotillas also bear assorted anti-Zionist propagandists.
This enterprising move and counter-move could end tragically.

Shame for publishing such a narrow minded point of view that cannot distinguish the difference between humanitarian and political intentions. Do you think the world revolves around Israel and Israel alone?
Osmanium: Note that the so-called humanitarians do not demand that Hamas cease its war and cease its terrorism, to end the blockade. Terrorism is the most inhumane method of warfare, but the "humanitarians" do not object to it. Many of them ignore atrocities against millions of people, to focus on false allegations against Israel. These self-appointed humanitarians, as my articles from NGO Monitor point out, use human rights as a cover for anti-Zionism. They are the ones who act as if the world revolves around Israel.
When there is no humanitarian crisis, and when the incoming ships carry the usual anti-Israel propagandists, can't you see the difference between humanitarian and political intentions?
What is that got to do been Islamist, it is Israel dividing this Wolrd been Islamist and non Islamist, this is a foreing policy went wrong for Israel and every country in the World is not agreeing what Israel did in Gaza, Turkey is more vocal about it, protecting civilians and children if they are Muslims or christian or Jews is not wrong in war,
when Israel or any other country kills children is wrong
If the Turks are at hand here, this will bring about the end of Israeli dominance at the eastern Mediterraneran. Arrival of the flotilla will be the mark of the beginning of this end.
