Last night, September 19, 2013, Saks Fifth Avenue off 5th, opened its Aventura, FL doors to a private preview celebration. It was a media and shopping frenzy as guests enjoyed music, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres were able to choose from the most desirable women's wear trends like: leather trim dresses and tops, biker jackets, tailored skirts and fall statement pieces. The best part was all the designer duds is they were discounted 30-40 percent off already reduced prices. Amber Cacali, VP of Marketing and Creative for Saks, kicked off the evening with an introduction of mayor, Susan Gottlieb and city commissioners; Michael Stern, Howard Weinberg and Billy Joel. All of whom, exhibited their support with a mini welcome speech.
It was apparent Saks buyers thoughtfully selected goods that cater to the affluent and fashionably savvy Miami customer. Some killer items were; Versace shawls under $100, Emilio Pucci scarves lower than $199, mink fur beanies at $120 and Yves Saint Laurent tops marked down under $200. The childrenswear section alone was to die for with some 15 plus colors of adorable True Religion jeans. Overall, the store is merchandised in a very clear and concise with open floor plan which makes it very easy for a patron to peruse through all the items. Women’s brands like Prada, Diane Von Furstenberg, Chanel, Balmain, Oscar De La Renta, Christian Louboutain shoes are all featured at outlet prices. Gentlemen too can find a wide assortment of designer brands like: Valentino, Armani and John Varvatos ranging from sportswear, contemporary to formalwear. In addition to apparel, the location sells gifting items, gourmet foods, fine jewelry, handbags and shoes. Best perk of the evening was 5% of the sales went to Dress for Success Miami.
