There’s nothing better than scoring a great deal on groceries -- and finding printable coupons online is a budget-friendly way to save money at the store. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before you start loading your shopping cart.

Here are some dos and don’ts to ensure you get the most savings out of printable grocery coupons:

Do print from legitimate coupon websites. As you are out surfing for the coupons you need, it is important to get your coupons from a source that is trusted and legitimate. Sites such as ShopAtHome.com only share coupons from original manufacturers and also feature coupon printing software. There’s nothing worse than ending up at the check-out counter with faulty coupons.

Do understand store policies. As we move forward in the digital age, most grocery stores will accept printable coupons, but, still, it is important to know your store’s policies and to know whether it accepts coupons in-store before you make the trip.

Don’t buy printable coupons. When scanning the Internet for printable grocery coupons, you should never have to spend money. There is a lot of fraud online, so make sure you do not fall victim to these scams. Always use credible websites when printing online coupons.

Don’t print in color. Even though the coupons on your screen are filled with vibrant colors, there’s no need to waste your printer’s ink. Printing in black in white will save you money on your ink cartridges -- especially if you have a bunch of coupons to print.
