The website Nintendoeverything.com has confirmed another fighter that will be returning in the next “Super Smash Bros.” games. That character is Princess Peach, and her return was announced on September 12, 2013.
Princess Peach was originally introduced as a fighter in “Super Smash Bros. Melee” on the Nintendo GameCube. She is a lighter weight fighter, but she is not as light as characters like Pikachu or Kirby. Her attacks are, surprisingly, very hard hitting despite what players might think. Most of her attacks knock enemies far away when struck, but don’t necessarily deal that much damage. Her signature floating ability (which she first used in “Super Mario Bros. 2”) has been present in her two previous appearances, and will likely return in the next games.
The screenshots that have been released do not reveal much about her fighting style in the next games. The images that do show her fighting show that her attacks are still similar to her previous appearances, although her attacks do appear to have more graphics involved with them (such as a ribbon for what appears to be her Up+A smash attack).
