Princess Madeleine is pregnant and expecting her first child with Christopher O'Neill. USA Today reports on Sept. 3 that her due date is in March, but she has no plans to slow down her charitable work. Madeleine married Christopher in June in a lavish royal ceremony.
Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill are expecting their first child. Sweden’s Princess Madeleine does not plan to stop working with the World Childhood Foundation during her pregnancy. The royal family indicates she will continue her charitable contributions. Madeleine is fourth in line to the throne.
Madeleine and Christopher live in New York City, and the couple does not have plans to relocate back to Sweden. Although they were married in June, O'Neill, who is a banker, decided against a royal title.
The World Childhood Foundation was founded by Sweden’s Queen Silvia in 1999. After a breakup in 2010, Princess Madeleine escaped to New York City and eventually met Christopher O'Neill. She has remained in this city and continues to work in the foundation’s New York office.
The couple’s June wedding attracted royal families from across the globe for a total of 500 guests. She wore a Valentino gown made with silk organza and lace. The custom-made designer gown allegedly cost more than $100,000.
