HRH Princess Madeleine has finally returned to Sweden for what looks like a longer stay. She took a quick trip down to Monaco to be escorted, as usual, by her older brother HRH Prince Carl Philip to Prince Albert’s wedding. Following the ceremony and receptions, the Princess returned home and her American boyfriend, financier Chris O’Neill, joined her in Stockholm. The couple has been dating for close to nine months while the Princess has been living in New York and working at the World Childhood Foundation. It was reported a few months ago that HM Queen Silvia traveled to the US in order to check on her daughter and meet her new beau. Now comes word and photos that Mr. O’Neill is in Sweden meeting her friends and family. They have been spotted in central Stockholm shopping and walking hand-in-hand, looking very together. On Thursday, Madeleine will celebrate her sister Crown Victoria's 34-year birthday in Oland (Victoria Day), in the company of the entire royal family. It looks like during the private celebration she may be introducing her boyfriend. The Princess had been taking quite a bit of heat for being out of Sweden since April of last year. There were grumblings that someone being supported by the public, should be home working for the public. No word yet on how long she will be in Sweden, but the royal calendar has no scheduled events for the Princess beyond her sister’s birthday.
