Princess Grace tribute “Art and Performing Arts of Monaco” opens February 2

Performances of Les Ballets de Monte Carlo are the occasion for an all new exhibition of the legacy Grace Kelly brought to art and the performing arts of Monaco. The ballet company will perform Cinderella at Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa February 9 to 12. The special exhibition will open this Thursday, February 2, at the Jewel Court of South Coast Plaza. That is also an excellent day for art exhibit enthusiasts to visit the area, since the monthly Art Walk in nearby art colony Laguna Beach takes place that evening from 6 to 9 p.m.

Organized by the Consulate of Monaco and the Princess Grace Foundation, this special exhibition will spotlight Princess Grace’s classical fine arts training and her own achievements as a ballet performer and patron. This rare opportunity to appreciate the stature and strength that the artistic discipline of ballet added to Grace Kelly’s unforgettable performances will enhance the experience of viewing the ballet itself. Both events will highlight the achievements of the Princess Grace Foundation, which supports classical arts training for aspiring talents and helps to preserve Princess Grace’s legacy as a patron of poets.
