Princess Diana's death had conspiracy theories galore all dating back to that dark day when she was killed in a car accident. Those theories ranged from the paparazzi causing the accident to the Royals having something to do with Princess Diana's death. Today police are going over some new information they've received on Diana's death, according to CNN News on Aug. 17.
London's Metropolitan Police Service reported on Saturday that there's new information that they have recently been made aware of relating to the 1997 deaths of Princess Diana and her boyfriend, Dodi Al Fayed. The Specialist Crime and Operations Command is in charge of assessing this information, but they've stressed that “this is not a re-investigation,” the service relayed in a statement.
The 2008 inquest into their deaths in a car accident in Paris came to the conclusion that they died as a result of “grossly negligent driving of the following vehicles and that of the Mercedes.” This new information in the hands of police today coincides with reports that a new movie about Princess Diana is due to be released on Aug. 31, which is the anniversary of their deaths.
The new movie is about an alleged affair between a heart surgeon and Diana, according to CNN. The timing of this movie coupled with the police looking into new evidence in the death of Diana, this somehow doesn't seem fair to Prince William.
William, who just had a new baby with his wife Kate Middleton, is enjoying one of the happiest times of his life and now his mother's death is once again making headlines. Hopefully this doesn't take away from this joyous occasion and the excitement about being a new father for William.
Police have not released any details on what this new information might be or how this information is pertaining to Diana's death. For the Specialist Crime and Operations team to pick it up, it has to be coming from a credible source one would think.
