HIH Princess Aiko of Japan is working her way back into school life, but is still having difficulty. Early last year the Imperial Household Agency announced that the Princess had been subjected to some bullying at school and had been removed from classes for a week. In the months since then, Aiko has been working her way back into school and trying to spend more time with her classmates. HIH Crown Princess Masako had been accompanying her daughter to and from classes since the issues and sat in on some of her classes. Aiko had only been going for half-days, but has added additional time and started walking home from school by herself on occasion. So while the progress shows improvement, the Princess continues to have issues. She has yet to attend all her morning classes and eats lunch in the classroom with her mother instead of the cafeteria. The school commented: "We have been taking the necessary measures while in consultation with the Imperial Household Agency. We will make further efforts so the Princess will soon attend classes more regularly."

In Ohio, a child who bullies can be hauled into court along with his parents and suspended from school.. Why is this continuing? Put her in a private school and keep her safe. This seems really strange and ridiculous.
