Prince William took a selfie with a schoolgirl in Sandringham on Christmas Day and said photo has popped up on the internet. On Jan. 2, E! News reported that the schoolgirl -- 12-year-old Madison Lambe -- was so nervous when she met the Prince that she couldn't steady herself to snap a photo with him. Being the gentleman that he is, Prince William offered to take the photo using the girl's mother's camera phone.
"I couldn't believe it when William came over to me and I asked for a picture. He just said to me, 'You can't beat a good selfie on Christmas Day,' and took the picture," Madison recalled.
Prince William's selfie with the schoolgirl is getting loads of attention this week. It's really just another way that Prince William is down-to-earth. He is very friendly and normal, not unlike his mother, Princess Diana, was. William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have really shown the world that royalty doesn't mean stiff and boring and that's exactly why people love them so much.
"It was really good. I didn't expect it... He was really nice, and I was so excited. I've put the picture on Facebook. My friends think it is really good and they have been commenting on it," Madison added.
Prince William and the schoolgirl's selfie has just about gone viral -- but the coolest part for Madison was meeting the future king and getting a pic with him!
