Prince William's nanny is back to care for Prince George. On Sept. 12, PEOPLE Magazine reported that Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have hired his childhood nanny to care for their son, Prince George. Jessie Webb has been helping out with the newborn. She is well-trusted and really loved by the royals so this move really makes sense.
"It'll be like a safe pair of hands. She knows the ropes and knows what happens. That's preferred rather than someone new to it all, someone who'd be terrified of it all," said Ingrid Seward, author of the upcoming book A Century of Royal Children.
Hiring Prince William's nanny to help with Prince George was probably a very easy decision. Jessie Webb took excellent care of William and his brother, Harry. The boys were very close to her and they have maintained a relationship with her through the years. In fact, Webb was a guest at William and Kate's wedding in 2011.
Webb was recently hired to help with baby George. In the first few weeks of his life, William and Kate actually hired someone else to stay with them in Bucklebury but were quick to hire Webb for the long-term shortly after.
Prince William's nanny will likely be spending a lot of time with Prince George over the next couple of years. She is a very good choice and she will take excellent care of the new Prince.
