Their breakup may be over Royal ways -- or at least Royal ways as they are called these days.
According to ShowBizSpy, the engagement is off because of cheating, each accusing each other.
But Kate Middleton is the one who is most upset. After trying to learn the Royal ways of protocol, up to and including when to smile where, the last straw was this dictum, quoted from the UK entertainment source through their source:
'...when she was informed that her future husband would undoubtedly cheat on her, she felt physically ill. Now she… doesn’t want to go ahead with the wedding!'
So, even though that may be the current Royal way, that is not the way things will go for Kate Middleton. She is done with Prince William. Done and no longer engaged to the future King of England.

First of all, they were NEVER Engaged!! She was just his girlfriend, so how irresponsible to say their engagement is broken, or to call him her future husband -- they were never engaged!!

What a load of codswallop this story is! I can tell you that they are still together and were seen yesterday, so there is no question of her playing it right, or playing it wrong and those that had the right bloodlines (Diana) could not make their marriage work, whereas Charles is now married to the woman who was not royal enough to marry in the first place. So as for bloodline being all that counts ' fraid you got that wrong. Of course whether they ever get married remains to be seen. I think Kate has made a big mistake shacking up with Wills before a wedding - he has no need to marry her.

Prince Charles did marry Diana because she had an impressive pedigree and was very royally connectted to Charles. I am an American and I have never even been to Great Britain. I have never met or seen in person any of the Royal family. I probably do have relatives in England, Wales and Germany on my parents side. Who they are I probably will never know.
But what I have been trying to tell you people is that IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BLOOD LINE! And you know it. 98% of the British people would not be GOOD ENOUGH to marry the Prince of Wales.
