Prince William was dissed by a 4-year-old girl who backed away from him when he tried to kiss her in Scotland. On April 4, Us Weekly posted a video clip of the little girl, Shona, who shyly hugged her mom after Prince William went in for a smooch. Prince or not, little girls don't want "strange" people getting too close.
"She's been dressed up like that since 6 a.m. today and we've been here waiting since nine. But when she finally plucked up the courage to ask him, she got really shy and pulled away," her mom, Karen Ritchie, told the press. The little girl is now making news around the globe.
Prince William was dissed because this was a long day for the little girl -- who just happened to be wearing a "crown" -- and there was a lot of excitement. Although the moment looked rather awkward, Prince William made light of the situation and seemed to get a laugh out of it.
"Oh, no! You see! Aw. Next time, Shona. Next time," the Prince said. Little Shona was holding a flower for Kate Middleton and when Prince William asked her about it, she didn't have too much to say -- but she was not going to give the flower to him. When Kate came by, however, Shona lightened up and gave her the flower. It was a very sweet moment.
Prince William doesn't get dissed often... but when he does, it makes headline news.
