In just two weeks Walt Disney will release its first official trailer for the highly anticipated action adventure film “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.”  Based on the popular video games, “Sands of Time” follows a prince, played by Jake Gyllenhaal (Rendition) who joins forces with a mysterious princess to protect a dagger from an evil ruler.  Legend has it the dagger is part of an ancient weapon that can reverse time.  The first “Sands of Time” trailer will be released November 13th.  From mega producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Director Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” hits theatres May 28th, 2010.

“Short Circuit” remake

Steve Carr, the director of the highly successful comedy “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” has just signed on to fill the directors chair for the remake of the popular 80’s film “Short Circuit.”  From writer Dan Milano (Robot Chicken) a high tech military weapon known as ‘Johnny 5’ develops a conscience and personality after being struck by lightning.  Following his transformation, he befriends a boy and his family.  The remake of the 1986 film “Short Circuit” hits theatres in 2011.

It's been nearly six months since we last saw Jack Bauer save the world, but in a few months Kiefer Sutherland will reprise his role as the bad ass government agent for the 8th season of the action series "24."  To help get viewers excited, Fox has just released a special preview highlighting some of the many moments fans have to look forward to next year.  The new season of "24" kicks off January 17th, 2010.
