Prince Frederik and Princess Mary attend New York cookout

TRH Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary continue their short stay in the United States with a visit to the New Nordic Cookout: A Taste of Denmark held at Union Square Greenmarket in New York City.  The event was organized by GrowNYC and the Consulate of General of Denmark to showcase some of the finest chefs Denmark has to offer to the world culinary stage.  The event brought new Nordic food using the best of local ingredients from New York’s largest Greenmarket.  Headlining the event was the owner of the number one restaurant in the world, Noma, located in Copenhagen.  Noma’s food was represented with a Sea Salt Bone Marrow AEbleskriver which wowed the crowd.  The Crown Prince and Princess not only attended the showcase event but also took a stroll through the farmers market.  Later that afternoon the Crown Prince attended a New York Jets game in New Jersey.  The couple is in New York until October 25th.
