Prince Albert II weds Charlene Wittstock in civil ceremony

Prince Albert II of Monaco has finally wed Charlene Wittstock in a civil ceremony that took place in the Throne Room.

Wittstock wore an ensemble by Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel. The outfit was of blue silk with a jacket and palazzo pants. The design was really beautiful once the conservative jacket was removed. Wittstock later added a huge bib necklace to glam up the strapless look.

Lagerfeld was very complimentary of Wittstock in the July issue of Vogue. Lagerfeld will join other notable designers in Monaco including Giorgio Armani and Roberto Cavalli. Naomi Campbell is also said to be an invited guest.

Tomorrow there will be a religious ceremony and wedding gala. Wittstock will wear a design by Armani. She will more than likely change to a different design for the gala.

All eyes are on Monaco as the world and the people of Monaco try to recapture the elegance of the wedding of Prince Ranier and Grace Kelly.

Grace Kelly was so unique, that it would be hard to ever replace her. Hopefully Charlene Wittstock will forge her own path. That path according to her would include a Starbucks and Manolo Blahnik boutiques.
