TSH Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco led their country in celebration today as the Principality celebrated it’s National Day. This was the first National Day since the country gained a new Princess earlier this year when Charlene married into the Grimaldi family. The holiday itself dates back to 1856, but Albert moved the holiday to November 19th, the feast day of St. Rainier of Arezzo, in honor of his father Prince Rainier III. The day included many festivities including a fireworks display, bonfire, thanksgiving mass and Te Deum, and of course the balcony appearance during the annual parade. It was during that Albert and Charlene dazzled, the Prince in his uniform and the Princess in a tan jacket with a funnel neck. Also joining in the ceremonies and celebrations were the Prince’s sisters HRH Princess Caroline, Hereditary Princess of Monaco and HSH Princess Stephanie, along with Caroline’s children Andrea, Caroline, and Pierre Casiraghi and HRH Princess Alexandra.
