Last week, Bolivar Barrios, 25, was arrested by Chester County deputy sheriffs after he was spotted in a Walmart in Lower Oxford.
In 2006, Barrios pleaded guilty to rape, kidnapping and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, after he and another illegal alien, Jose Vazquez-Bedolla, 18, abducted and gang-raped a 15-year-old girl.
In 2012, after only six years in prison, Barrios was released and deported to Mexico.
The Daily Local reported:
"This convicted sex offender forfeited any right to be in this great country," [Chester County District Attorney Tom] Hogan said. "He never should have returned to Chester County and the United States. He will have plenty of time to think about that in prison before he is returned to Mexico."
Barrios has been charged with with violating Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law and will face a minimum three-year state sentence. He is currently being held at the Chester County Prison on an immigration detainer.
This case is yet another example of the dangers an unprotected border poses to our children.
