Shakespeare, a dining room, and shorter plays highlight Hanover College theatre arts's 2014-15 theatre season.
Hanover College will present four shows during the 2014-15 theater season: The Dining Room (October), One-Act Plays (November), Love Labour's Lost (February 2015), and 10-Minute Plays (March 2015). All performances are to happen at The Other Place, formerly known as the Donner Lecture Hall, on the Hanover College campus. Directions and a campus map can be found here.
Tickets for most shows will be $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and over, and $8 for youth of high school age and under. Tickets can be purchased when they become available for the specific show.
Hanover will open its season with The Dining Room, a comedy in relation to manners as families from different eras and backgrounds, though sometimes intertwined, come to the table for dinner or other reasons. The show will be served Oct. 3-5.
Following in November is One-Act Plays, a collection of shorter works which should bring about multiple emotions like joy, tears, and laughter. The One-Act Plays will take place Nov. 13-16.
During the Valentine's Day season, Hanover will return with Love Labour's Lost, which features four men trying to study but ultimately getting distracted by women they swore to avoid. The Shakespearean comedy runs Feb. 12-23.
Hanover will finish its annual presentation of 10-Minute Plays, a festival of new works from Hanover's playwriting class put on the stage thanks to students in in the directing class. This festival is free to attend and will go on Mar. 27 and 28.
More information on the season can be found at the Hanover College theatre arts website.
