Preview of ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ season 11

Season 11 of “Hell’s Kitchen” premieres on March 12, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. For the very first time in the show’s history, the 20 initial contestants will perform in front of a live audience to prove their worthiness. This year’s winner will receive a head chef position at Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Cesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. It is supposed to be the wildest “Hell’s Kitchen” yet.

The season starts with two teams, red and blue. Instead of the contestants preparing their dishes for Gordon Ramsay, this season they will be cooking in front of a live audience. The winning team receives a VIP night on the town, while the losers get to ride back to “Hell’s Kitchen” in a school bus. As usual, the teams start out with men vs. women.

Chefs from New York dominate the “Hell’s Kitchen” roster. Out of 20 contestants, seven of them; Amanda Gilbin, Cyndi Stanimirov, Gina Aloise, Jessica Lewis, Barret Beyer, Dan Ryan, and Sebastian Royo, are from New York State. Will their New York attitude help them win the competition?

The premiere highlights one of the contestants, Nedra Harris, running out of time. The kitchen is in a frenzy when Chef Ramsay calls stop. We will have to wait to see which dishes meet Ramsay’s demanding standards and which dishes send their team to ride home in a school bus.
