The adidas D Rose 4 is a very critical time for adidas Basketball and Derrick Rose. After an 18-month hiatus due to injury that included a full lost NBA season, Rose is ready and primed to come back to take his spot among the elite players in the league. How this will affect the sales of his signature shoes will ultimately be up the consumers who have remained loyal to Rose and those who are looking for a stylish pair of kicks, but at the onset, it looks like adidas is at least in a good position to make an impact.
The idea behind the D Rose 4 is duality, highlighting not only Rose's high impact play on the court but also his cool demeanor and eye for fashion of it. According to Rose, he wanted a shoe that anybody could wear to most situations and be versatile in that sense. And for adidas, they are also doing their part by cutting the price of the shoe to $140.00 a pair after it was priced at $160.00 for the Rose 3.
Some of the performance benefits of the D Rose 4 is the implementation of the Crazy Quick sole that was found on the eponymous model that adidas introduce earlier this year along with a seamless SPRINTWEB upper and SPRINTFRAME construction to give Rose better control on the court. Another addition that sneakerheads and Rose fans will notice is the added GEOFIT padding on the ankle that makes for a more comfortable ride.
