Pin up queens/burlesque bombshells go-go Amy and Bettina May are coming to Houston in February to teach their popular How to Be a Pin Up Girl class, which will be followed by their Pretty Things Peepshow.

The Pin Up class will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Feb. 18 at ROCBAR, 530 Texas Street. Students will release their inner bombshell by learning the tricks of vintage hair styling and make-up application, as well as getting posing and modeling tips. Once students have the look, they’ll enjoy their very own pin-up photo shoot.

According to Amy and Bettina, the pin up class is a body positive experience. “In class we teach you that true glamour has no size, height or age restriction. All you need is a positive attitude and a set of curlers.”

Following the class, is the Pretty Things Peepshow, held at 8 p.m. at ROCBAR. Featuring Bettina May and go-go Amy, as well as sideshow sweetheart Miss Heather Holliday and the Dapper Dan of danger Donny Vomit, the show will offer 20 acts of dancing, comedy and sideshow danger.

And for those ladies who want to learn Pretty Things’ vintage beauty tips but can’t make it to class, keep an eye out for the soon-to-be-released instructional DVD, “How to Be a Pin Up Girl.” Released by World Dance New York (the company behind Jo Weldon’s stellar burlesque/striptease series), the DVD will retail for $14.98.
