The entire “Ravenswood” idea was bitter-sweet for “Pretty Little Liars” fans. It was a testament to the fact that the show carried a huge fan base, but not all fans tuned in to watch the spin-off. Tyler Blackburn left Rosewood, taking his beloved character, Caleb Rivers with him. After “Ravenswood” was canceled, fans were excited to hear Blackburn would be returning for Season 5 of “Pretty Little Liars.” According to a March 23 report from Just Jared, there is a high possibility that the actors from “Ravenswood” could end up in Rosewood this season. It would give the writers a chance to close the story and be a nice way for Caleb to be written back in.
When Season 1 of “Ravenswood” ended there wasn't exactly closure. It was all a little confusing. The fans that did follow the show were disappointed to learn of the cancellation, and this is a fun way to wrap everything up. “Pretty Little Liars” is one of the most talked about shows on television and adding a few more characters won't hurt the ratings. Tyler Blackburn was a staple on the show for nearly four full seasons and his comeback is quite welcomed.
There is no definite date on when the “Ravenswood” cast may air on “Pretty Little Liars,” and it isn't even a sure thing. The writers are working away trying to get it to fit in order to give fans a little closure. Season 5 of “Pretty Little Liars” airs on June 10 on the ABC Family channel at 7 p.m. CT.
