The Season 5 premiere of “Pretty Little Liars” was filled with unexpected events. Fans were shown Ezra alive, but Aria was put into a place no one saw coming. Several other elements were introduced, including the little army Mona is building. Several familiar faces were in the meeting with Mona and her minions. According to a June 12 report from Wetpaint, Marlene King is hinting at the fact that Mona's army is not the “A-team.” Fans are confused about what purpose the army is serving, especially since Lucas, Melissa, and Paige are all part of it.

As you look at the culprits for “A,” the list is dwindling. Since Lucas, Melissa, Mona, and Paige are part of the anti-Ali army, the belief among fans is they are not “A.” Shana was killed by Aria at the theater, but she was only part of the team, not the mastermind. So where does that leave fans trying to solve the mystery of who “A” really is?

The Twitter feed for “PLLSeAson5” is buzzing with different theories about who “A” is, and the shock about Shana being part of the “A-team.” Right now Jenna is at the forefront of the suspect list because of her connections to Toby and Shana. Ali blinded Jenna and felt no remorse about the accident, even going as far as taunting her. Wren is also another suspect high on the list. Fans are waiting for his return.

So many things are promised for Season 5, and fans cannot wait to find out what Marlene King has in store for the liars. “Pretty Little Liars” got picked up for two more seasons, so it is safe to say the mystery of “A” will continue. Start scratching names off the list to narrow the suspects down because this season is going to reveal a lot.
