'Pretty Little Liars' recap: 'Misery Loves Company" (Video)

Fans were in shock at everything that happened on the Jan. 22 episode of "Pretty Little Liars." The episode, "Misery Loves Company," was shocking and explosive.

At the beginning of the episode, it was revealed that Toby was working with Mona, which was a complete surprise to some viewers. What was not exactly shocking was the fact that Mona seemed to be back to her old ways. The innocent "pity me, oh I am so sorry" act was not fooling people and fans were right about her.

Then, Aria was home sick with the flu and Meredith shows up to take care of her while her father is away. That turned out to be a bad idea and Aria's dream about Allison turned out to reveal a horrific plot. In the dream, Allison told Aria not to drink the tea and when she awakens, she pours it out. But then she realizes that she has been locked in her bedroom and she can't get out.

Aria ends up falling asleep again and Meredith admits to giving her a little something to help her sleep. The "Pretty Little Liars" villian wants to know where the diary pages are, but they are hidden really well. Meredith was unable to find them even though she searched the house from top to bottom.

Hannah and Spencer go to the house to look for Aria and Meredith convinces them to go to the basement, where they are locked in. They discover Aria on the basement floor passed out.

Aria's dad ends up coming home and talking to Aria. The police went to her apartment but she has fled and is nowhere in sight.

To top it off, the episode of "Misery Loves Company" shows Spencer catching Toby sneaking in and she slaps him. She shows him the badge from the sanitarium, but her mom interrupts them and he disappears. Spencer is overcome with emotion and breaks down, sobbing while embracing her mother.
