Spencer’s mom and Melissa tried to figure out what was going on and how long Spencer knew Ali had been alive. Melissa had some choice words to say about Ali, while their Mr. Hastings sat with his head in his hands. Blue and red lights flashed, and their doorbell rang. Officer Holbrook came inside to tell them CeCe Drake was taken into custody and had known Alison was alive. He encouraged the family to tell them anything they knew and hadn’t already shared.

Hanna, Emily, and Spencer arrived at the hospital first and sat down to wait after catching a glimpse of A. Aria and Alison arrived and asked the receptionist about Ezra. Ali took off, and the others went on the hunt for A. Hanna, Spencer, Emily, and Ali had an unsuccessful encounter with one A that turned out to be dozens that encircled them in the park. Mona met with Lucas.

Melissa woke up in the middle of the night and told her dad she couldn’t keep it a secret anymore. He told her that her mother could never know what she told him and walked away.

While Aria stayed at the hospital, Ali took Spencer, Hanna, and Emily to a theater Ezra’s family owned that he had once taken her to. As the girls raided the concession stand, Ali walked away, saying she had to make a phone call. Later on, the four of them tried to sleep, but it was only Ali who actually fell asleep.

Shauna showed up at the hospital and told Aria that Ali sent her. Aria said she didn’t need a watchdog, but Shauna said she made a promise and was staying. When Aria fell asleep, Shauna covered her up and walked away. Aria learned Ezra was out of surgery and found Shauna already in his room. Ezra suddenly started gasping for breath, so Aria called out for help.

CeCe showed up and woke Ali up. The two went somewhere with Noel Kahn, where Ali signed a paper for CeCe. When Ali returned to the theater, Emily was awake and frustrated that Ali left. Ali took Emily aside and explained Ezra had been paying CeCe for information, but CeCe had helped her save Emily’s life and was the one who shot a cop.

Mona assembled a group that included Lucas and Paige, along with many others who Ali made fun of when she was alive. Paige started to walk out after saying she wasn’t afraid of Ali anymore, but Melissa walked in as she was leaving, so she stayed.

Meanwhile, Officer Holbrook received a call about Ezra’s shooting. He did research and discovered the Fitzgerald Theater. The girls were trying to talk to Aria and had her call the theater’s phone, but the call dropped. When it rang again, Ali answered – this time, it was Officer Holbrook, who asked if it was Alison. She hung up and didn’t answer the phone again. The girls argued as they tried to figure out what to do next.

Back at the hospital, Ezra whispered something to Aria. She ran back out to the waiting room, but Shauna was gone.

The lights in the theater went off and then back on again, before Shauna entered, wearing a black hoodie and holding a gun up. The girls tried to talk to Shauna, but she wouldn’t put the gun down and separated them from Ali. Ali guessed Shauna had fallen in love with Jenna and told her she was being played. Aria appeared and knocked Shauna from behind, sending her crashing into the orchestra put below. After checking her pulse, Emily confirmed she was dead. Spencer called the police to tell them there had been an accident, and the girls left.

The episode ended with the police entering the theater and shining their flashlights around. Finally, they spotted Shauna and made their way over to her.
