It's hard to believe that there is talk about the "Pretty Little Liars" Christmas episode, but it is finally happening. Even though the show has had Halloween specials in the past, the Christmas special is a first. So what is known about the holiday episode? On Aug. 15, WetPaint revealed some details.
The "PLL" Christmas episode is not only written by showrunner Marlene King, but directed by her as well. She tweeted the news back in April. It is titled "How The 'A' Stole Christmas," which is having viewers speculate. With a title like that, it definitely sounds like "A" will ruin the holiday spirit for the girls.
King posted a photo of Ashley Benson (Hanna) on Instagram. The actress was wearing a rocker tee and studded sweater. The photo from the set shows Hanna looking pensive. She captioned the picture, "A little edge for the holidays."
The showrunner is known to tweet clues and one regarding the holiday episode has already been revealed. Last month, King posted on Twitter a hint about a newborn queen. She tweeted,
"Hark the herald angels sing. Glory to the newborn queen. #MajorPllHolidayClue."
Even though Mrs. DiLaurentis is dead, her photo was shared on social media. In it, she had a creepy smile on her face. The caption confirmed that Ali's mom (Andrea Parker) is back on the set, so that must mean a flashback will be on the "Pretty Little Liars" Christmas episode. It was also revealed that Paige (Lindsay Shaw) will be in the holiday special.
Also, King held an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit. She revealed that after the episode, time in Rosewood will speed up a bit. She said that they want the show to continue for a few more seasons, so time moves slowly. But after the "PLL" holiday special, time will go a bit faster and the spring of senior year will come quicker than what they have dealt with this fall.
