Every person that signs up for school feels that excitement you can only get from taking the new challenge of educating yourself. After the couple of weeks the excitement dwindles away and that student is now faced with the pressure of online learning along with the reality of every day responsibilities; the thought of pursuing a degree may not look as appealing as it did in the beginning.
James, who has been attending Devry University online IT program states, “At first everyone in my family was excited when I started school and I had a lot of support from the them. Now I am about six months into the program and I have been working, taking care of the kids, dealing with different problems that come up, and still trying to maintain my grade average. I believe that going to school will be worth it in the end but it is hard.”
Is online school worth it? Of course this is a difficult question to ask, each and every person that is thinking about starting school has to weigh the pros and cons of going. There are a great number of added responsibilities that go along with attending school but it is worth the extra hassle of pursuing higher education.
There are some schools out there that you can attend online or ground campus, there is also the option of combining ground and online classes. This is a nice option if your schedule permits the time it would take to attend an on ground campus class. One school that is all over the Phoenix Valley is the University of Phoenix; the school has campuses in the west and east valley to serve students that are spread throughout the Phoenix area.
Once you have started school remember that it will pay off in the end and just keep your eye focused on that end result, graduating and getting a better position.
