MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Veridea Group announced today that it is expanding its new Liberty Way development to include two additional acres and 24,000 square feet of office space.
The expansion will be achieved through the renovation of 925 West Washington, the adjacent property to the west, and its integration into Liberty Way. An entirely new facade featuring similar sandstone, brick and architectural elements will create visual cohesion with the adjacent Liberty Way buildings. Veridea will be investing a total of $1.5 million of additional capital into the expansion.
“We are pleased to announce this expansion of Liberty Way and the opportunity to bring additional jobs and investment into the community”, stated Robert Mahaney, President of Veridea Group. “The response to Liberty Way from our tenants and the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and played a key role in our decision to expand Liberty Way’s footprint.”
925 W. Washington was originally built in 1927 as one of Marquette’s first auto dealerships and housed Olson Motors for many years. The property was acquired by Veridea in 1998 and converted into office space. Current tenants include Manpower, Byma Chiropractic and GEI Consultants. A new business will be relocating its corporate office to the building, resulting in 100 percent occupancy of the facility and the creation of approximately 25 permanent jobs.
Phase I of Liberty Way, The mBank Building, will welcome its first tenants in December 2013. The building’s initial tenants include mBank, Myefski Architects and The Veridea Group.
